ABOUT THE PROJECT:
We offer the volunteering opportunity as part of the European Solidarity Corps, program created and managed by the European Commission.
Our project involves 16 Schuman Volunteers who are hosted in 9 different hosting organizations and at the moment we are searching for more 1 volunteer for Kindergarten no 146 in Warsaw.
Your project will be 9 months long, starting date as soon as possible.
YOUR TASKS:
Your task in the Kindergarten no 146 in Warsaw would be to:
- support the teachers in organizing educational activities & preparing materials and activities for special events;
- assist the children in everyday activities and help them with dressing, meals, toilet;
- present the culture, tradition, cuisine of the country of your origin,
- help in the preparation of the annual or specific activities/events,
- contribute new ideas and prepare specific exercises for the whole group.
On a daily basis, our volunteers work in their hosting organization. As a group, they organize common Schuman Volunteers activities. At the very bottom you will find a file with a detailed description of the organizations, tasks and the whole program.
WHAS IS PROVIDED?
- Accommodation in Warsaw (you will stay in a flat along with our other participants; single room or shared with max. one person),
- Pocket money (paid monthly – about 1000 PLN),
- Transportation card for Warsaw,
- Polish language classes,
- Your travel to and from the project,
- Visa costs if appear,
- You are covered by a complementary insurance.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Applications from Ukrainian candidates will be considered first.
- Participants aged between 18 and 30 years,
- Legally residing in one of the participating and partner countries (e.g. Ukraine),
- All candidates must be registered in the European Solidarity Corps database (https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en),
- No specific knowledge, skills or experience is required as the necessary ones can be acquired during the project. We are not looking for experienced volunteers but those who are willing to learn and are strongly motivated. Desire to learn Polish is welcome as it will be useful during the project.
