Berlin, the first trip I did together with the other volunteers. I have been to Germany dozens of time but just in Bavaria. But still I knew about the German culture and habits a lot because it is in a lot of points identical with Austria, but we have also points where the differences are huge. But for me this travel was more about spending time together with the others. I only knew them for only month, so that is good way to get to each other better. My interest in the city itself was not to high. I knew a lot of people love Berlin for its alternative scene, but that’s not my cup of tea. But I was really impressed by the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate and by its s History. That the city was divided into a western part and an eastern part was interesting and the same times it seems unbelievable for today standards
But on the other hand, there were some things which bothered me, in the city I had a feeling that I must be cautious about everything. In the Metro this feeling was quite strong, I also had the feeling that there are a lot of homeless people and they are begging for money. I was quite surprised by the whole feeling of the city I didn’t expected it to be like this.
The moment when I was in the Flixbus and I knew I had an eight hours long journey back to Warsaw I was happy to go back. There I was thinking it will be nice to be back home. At this moment with home I meant Warsaw and not Austria. It took me only one month to get used to my new home. To be honest I didn’t expect that to happen so fast. Before I was coming to Warsaw, I thought this feeling of being home will never appear but in the end, it happened incredibly fast. You must like the place you stay and then the feeling of home will appear, it’s just a matter of time, but there is no duration how long it will take. I guess it can take just on month or several
