Hello there!

Hello! I am a new Schuman Volunteer, you will hear from me soon 🙂

I’m writing this hello post after 60 days on project. And I want say that it were the most exiting and challenging 60 days in my life. Firstly, I never met so many people in so short period of time. It is important for me because I’m introvert so all new communications are really hard for me. But I handled it and it is my first small victory. I found a lot of new friends and used to live with another 4 people on my flat:)

The second challenge was connected directly with my work on project. I work at nice school in Warsaw. It almost unique position in our organisation:) The most difficult for me was adaptation to work in such socially significant institution as school. Of course I was very interesting, I understood that Polish primary school is really different than Russian. And indeed I was nicely surprised! I didn’t like school when I was a child – boring lessons, inattentive teachers, stupid rules, not so smart and logical system of education finally.. So almost 10 years later I came to Polish school and I was charming:) But it is a topic for another post. I found troubles in different place – it was not so easy to fit in well-coordinated work of school. I need to do some cool activities to involve kids, to find place for myself. Now proudly I can say that I managed! But in the beginning it was the most actual problem for me.

And third challenging thing is to start life in new city and what important in new culture. Here I’m kinda cheater – because my Polish:) Knowledge of language really facilitated my integration. Already on first week in Warsaw I found some close friends, and avoided typical problems with adoption to infrastructure in new city. Now I have some constant circle of friends, some favorite places in city, and in general have that feeling of home. That are the main results of first 60 days on my volunteering project and I’m really proud of myself!
