Nine months ago we have started new life experience together as volunteers! More than 10 nations with their own culture, ideas and expectations gathered in Poland to discover the world of solidarity.
So we start our adventures from big Warsaw to small Bedzin, from pierogi to Pączki and from “smacznego” to “dziękuję”. We managed to enjoy first half of our project and made interesting plans for the second half, however life had another plan for all of us.
This year is special for all of us. It gave us new big challenge and teachs to live in different conditions. It was very unexpected and stressful for most of us. We are out of our “comfort zone” and we kind of lost our control to the “future” but we have to accept that we learnt a lot from this period.
For me personally the good part was moving from Bedzin to Warsaw and living with other volunteers. Of course we knew each other but I got chance to study more about their cultures, lifestyle, foods and also languages. We found some activities, games that made our life “at home” easier. Luckily the situation is getting better in EU and in the end of our project we got chance to travel more inside Poland and find out new favorite cites.
So, we are close to “the end” and it’s gone be hard to say goodbye to our friends but we all have bigger dreams and life moves on. I’m happy to know you, I’m proud of you and I wish you all the best my friends!
