It’s been already almost two months since I’ve arrived in Poland and as time files, this is the perfect moment to share with you my first impressions and thoughts about my E.S.C. experience in Warsaw.
As you probably can imagine, all the preparations for such an adventure started a few months before being here and yes, everything started with my motivation for volunteering abroad, a lot of enthusiasm and curiosity for what could such a project offer to me. This is how I started my search and after the process of recruitment has finished, I find myself in Warsaw, with everything I need for an amazing experience.
What do I do here? I am part of an international team of volunteers from countries all around Europe and not only and together we are here to promote volunteering and E.U. matters and of course to have fun. And this is what we do.
Now you might ask yourself how is Warsaw for me after this intense but interesting beginning? Really nice, green, safe, full of history, architecture and parks. I absolutely like it and I am curious to discover more and more as the time goes by. In fact, this is just one of the reasons I am here, to get closer to Poland and its culture. More than that, I want to meet new people, take some time for myself and get some insights about the workflow in an NGO. Just by being every day at the office I have the opportunity to do all of those and it’s amazing.
From now on, each month should have its own post here, if you want to know more about my polish journey, keep an eye on Schuman blog, interesting experiences are coming.
